I’m Irene, a maker, a mother, a creative explorer, living and practicing art in southern Maine.

I received my B.F.A. from the University of Southern Maine followed by my teaching certification and a masters in teaching and learning. after several years as an educator around new england I settled back in maine and returned to art.

I am drawn to the outdoors where I can be found examining moss and lichen in the woods or seaweed on the rocky coast. my art is inspired by these colors and textures and infused with my imagination and wonder of the natural world.
